I was in my stompin' grounds for this one! It was so crazy to see the Blaine location on the call sheet. We basically spent a couple hours swapping and knocking juicy wings around (nice and messy). The folks at my table were giving me a lot of crap about being diseased, because I had to mention my mono so no one accidentally sipped my beer (which was pretty watery, not that I'd like it any better without the added water). Afterward, the crew had me throw on a Wild Bill's tee and apron to play bartender, which I did really well... NOT! I'm a foamy pour. Sorry, guys. At least I entertained others with my novice attempt. Both the wing whacking and drink-making made the cut. Check it out. :)
Got some rockin' makeup and hair done by Sean, and then got into some beautiful designs by Ellie Hottinger. BobbiLe had some awesomely artistic ideas regarding usage of setting and lighting. I threw in some posing and viola! I LOVE the photos that came from this evening. I hope you enjoy them!
Had an excellent time modeling for Cayetano Legacy Collection yesterday! The beautiful, Philippines-inspired holiday line releases Nov. 1st (I will be able to share more photos then)! It was fun to have hair and makeup done by Alexis and Eileen, after which I was referred to as Taylor [Swift]. It was also great to work with photographer PK Atkins again.
Kelsey focuses on conceptual photography in an artistic/surreal way. Below are two of the amazing images she produced after our first collaboration.
Images from our second artistic collaboration along the beautiful St. Croix River in Stillwater!
After my big girl job interview this morning (got it), I headed to the historic Concord Exchange for a collaborative Gatsby-themes wedding shoot. It was amazing to have some many people coordinating on this project to advertise their expertise in weddings, and it paid off! Pictures from the shoot were featured in Forever Bride!
I had to skip out early (production knew, of course) for a commercial that would be playing in theaters. That's below. Now to be in the actual movie on the BIG screen some day...
I make blurry background girl look good at 0:33. YES! Read about shoot day below the video.
Wow! What fun I had on a set on today! I was shooting a commercial for Sanford Brown (Brown College) where I was playing a student of some medical field - which field, the audience may not know (I didn't). What they certainly won't know (except for lip-reading experts), is what bizarre questions the students were really asking to trip up the improvisational all-stars who were playing our professors. Below are a few examples of the questions asked. I struggled not to laugh or even smile with some of these. Try to picture the students asking these questions very seriously and the professors smiling and gesturing to the nodding class or pointing to medical models while they attempt to answer our ridiculous questions!
Q: My mom drinks and smokes a lot. What would you recommend to help her?
A: Well, I wouldn't discourage her habits, but I would suggest she offset it with something else. Like bacon consumption, for example. I would recommend that she eat more bacon.
Q: What if a pig smokes a lot? Should we expect it to produce smoked bacon?
Q: If a pig passes gas, should we worry about the effect on global warming?
Q: Can I leave? I have to pee.
A: No you may not because the camera is passing you right now. Hold it, but try not to show it.
Some of our other topics included superman's x-ray vision, Morgan Freeman, and MANY unmentionables! I was very impressed with everyone's on-the-fly humor. It was certainly one of the most interesting college courses I have attended!
Telling stories through various lenses is my creative passion. I'm the author of the YA dystopian Concealed in the Shadows series. I'm a represented actress and screenwriter. I love my family, friends, pet turtle, reading, movies, music, and the great outdoors!
